➞ Annual Backflow Testing & Repairs

The NYS Department of Health and your water supplier require yearly testing of your backflow preventers and systems. The backflow preventer ensures public water systems remain safe. It also makes sure water only flows from the water main into the sprinkler system.

This is required by the NFPA 25 to ensure the fire department connection does not leak and operates correctly. The NFPA 25 is the baseline for testing, maintenance, and inspection of water-based fire protection systems.
